She has left Islam

Assalamu ‘laykum ua rahmatullahi ua barakatuhu

A few days ago, I read a post on Malizea’s blog about a sister that had left Islam. She didn’t give the name, so I thought it was a friend of her. But surfing from blog to blog a lot has been written about her and it was a ‘famous’ sister of the Muslim blogosphere: Kimdonesia.

I have already read some post on her blog, thanks to links made on others sisters ‘one.
She wasn’t on my blog list because for me it was just a teenager diary.
Concerning the fact that she left Islam two words are present in a large number of comments: ‘SAD’ and ‘SHOCKED’.
I’ve watched the video on which she explains her reasons, and honestly teenager reasons (her dog died…)
I wouldn’t use the words SAD or SHOCKED: I am SAD to see that girls can’t go to school with their hijab, denying their right to choose and I was SHOCKED to see last week on TV Tariq Ramadan treated as a liar, narrow minded and manipulator.
Kimdonesia has decided to leave Islam, it’s her OWN choice, we must respect it and that’s it.

We can only pray an seek ‘lm not to fall in the same situation (Astaghforallah, nobody can say that he would be forever safe!).
Seeking ‘lm is very important and alhamdullillah there are brothers and sisters whose blogs are very helpful and with a very high level.
How can we compare a teenager diary to the quality of some wonderful blogs such as our brother Daud Khan one’s http://wwwislamgurea.blogspot.com/ (an amazing source of ‘ilm) or the deepness of almeeskinah’s blog http://almiskeenah.com/ (beautiful pictures of the Holy places with wonderful comments that often make me cry)?
How can we compare someone who has left Islam because of the death of her dog to the engagement of very strong sisters such as Nida http://theidealmuslimah.blogspot.com/ who saw members of her family killed in Bosnia, or Habayeb http://awakenedbytruth.blogspot.com/ who is always trying to help the others?

She has left Islam freely, may be she’ll return, this is between her and The Almighty.

But don’t forget that dozens enter our beautiful deen, making Islam the fast growing religion.

So ma’a salam Kimdonesia and ahlan wa sahlan to the new believers!

May Allah never forget us

May He make our faith each day stronger, keep us united

and in chah Allah we will be rewarded

Fi amanillah

Dhul Hijja mubarak

Assalamu ‘alaykum ua rahmatullah ua barakatuhu

89.1. Waalfajri / 89.2. Walayalin AAashrin
89.1. By the Dawn /89.2. And ten nights

Today it’s the first of Dhul Hijja !

"Narrated Ibn Abbas: The Prophet said, "No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul Hijja)."

Allah (swt) swears an oath by them, and swearing an oath by something is indicative of its importance and great benefit.
The Prophet (pbuh) testified that these are the best days of this world, and encouraged people to do righteous deeds on these days.

Among the good deeds which the Muslim should strive to do during the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah are:
Fasting. It is Sunnah to fast on the ninth day of Dhu’l-Hijjah, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) urged us to do good deeds during this time, and fasting is one of the best of deeds.
Takbeer**. It is Sunnah to say Takbeer ("Allahu akbar"), Tahmeed ("Al-hamdu Lillaah"), Tahleel ("La ilaha ill-Allah") and Tasbeeh ("Subhaan Allah") during the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, and to say it loudly in the mosque, the home, the street and every place where it is permitted to remember Allah and mention His name out loud, as an act of worship and as a proclamation of the greatness of Allah, may He be exalted. Men should recite these phrases out loud, and women should recite them quietly.
Doing more good deeds in general, because good deeds are beloved by Allah and will bring a great reward from Him. Whoever is not able to go to Hajj should occupy himself at this blessed time by worshipping Allah, praying (salaat), reading Qur’an, remembering Allah, making supplication (du’aa’), giving charity, honoring his parents, upholding the ties of kinship, enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil, and other good deeds and acts of worship.
Sacrifice. One of the good deeds that will bring a person closer to Allah during these ten days is offering a sacrifice, by choosing a high-quality animal and fattening it, spending money for the sake of Allah.
Sincere repentance. One of the most important things to do during these ten days is to repent sincerely to Allah and to give up all kinds of disobedience and sin.
Repentance means coming back to Allah and foregoing all the deeds, open and secret, that He dislikes, out of regret for what has passed, giving it up immediately and being determined never to return to it, but to adhere firmly to the Truth by doing what Allah loves.

There is much to be gained, so make the most of the opportunity afforded by these invaluable and irreplaceable ten days. Hasten to do good works, before death strikes, before one can regret one’s negligence and failure to act, before one is asked to return to a place where no prayers will be answered, before death intervenes between the hopeful one and the things he hopes for, before you are trapped with your deeds in the grave"

Takbeer**:there is an other version
1.Allahu akbar / Allahu akbar
2.La ilaha il-la Allah
3.Allahu akbar / Allahu akbar
4.Wa li´lahi al Hamd
5.Al-Láhu akbaru kabíra
6.wal hámdu lil-Láhi Kathira
7.Wa Subhana Allahibukratan wa asila
Fi amanillah

"Modern medicine was not able to heal my soul, so I turned to religion"

Assalamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah ua barakatuh

Here is an article about Diam's a French rap artist converted to Islam.

France's top rap artist makes comeback

AFP - France's best-selling rap singer Diam's released a new album Monday after a three-year hiatus that has seen the 29-year-old voice of Paris suburban angst undergo psychiatric treatment and embrace Islam.
The musical comeback of the Cypriot-born star came one month after she caused a stir when photos of her wearing a long black headscarf at a Paris area mosque were published in celebrity magazines.
Diam's, whose real name is Melanie Georgiades, reached super-stardom in France in 2006 with the release of "Dans Ma Bulle" (In My Bubble) in which she rapped about racism, poverty and injustice in France.
She won an MTV Europe Music Award in 2006 for best French act and "Dans Ma Bulle" became the best-selling album that year, with more than one million copies sold.
Success however proved to be poison for Diam's, who talks about overcoming a bout of depression and her conversion to Islam in her new album "SOS".
"Modern medicine was not able to heal my soul, so I turned to religion," she was quoted as saying about her conversion to Islam.
The artist spent much of last year avoiding the paparazzi and checking in and out of hospitals for treatment for mental illness.
After hitting rock bottom, she spent a couple of months pouring her heart out in a studio and the result is "SOS", with its debut single titled "I Am Somebody" in English.
Many of her songs deal with mental distress, but the loaded issue of being a Muslim in France comes up in "Lily" where she raps "I am the enemy because I am a convert and I wear the veil."
A prominent rights group has spoken out against Diam's, saying she has undergone an unfortunate makeover from a feisty streetwise girl from the suburbs to a subservient and traditional Muslim woman.
"With this new image, Diam's represents submission, tradition and isolation," Safia Labdi, president of Ni Putes Ni Soumises (Neither Whores nor Submissive) group defending women's rights.
"Diam's has had a hard time," she told Le Parisien newspaper. "She was lost and found herself by wearing the veil. This is something that we unfortunately see with a lot of young girls."
Diam's, a leftist sympathizer who has called President Nicolas Sarkozy a demagogue in her songs, plans to donate revenue from her album sales to her new charity foundation "Big Up Project" for Africa relief.
Born to a French mother and Greek Cypriot father, Diam's moved to the Paris suburb of Essonne at the age of three after her parents divorced.
Her first album released in 1999 "Premier Mandat" (First Mandate) was a flop, but she managed to break through four years later with the release of "Brut de Femme" (Raw Woman) that included the hit single "DJ".
The release of the fourth album has been carefully scripted, with Diam's scheduled to give only a handful of interviews as her managers wonder how French youth will react to the new Diam's. http://www.france24.com/en/node/4926395

The wall

Assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullah

Here in Europe, this week is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the destruction of the wall of Berlin in Germany that had separated families, dividing one city in two words, called the wall of the shame (the following link gives all the details : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berlin_Wall)

Every body agreed that IT WOULD BE no more wall of the shame, it would be a lesson for Humanity.
And guess what? Today, for this celebration nobody here talks about the wall of Palestine, where the Israeli government can do whatever they want in the name of their protection!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_West_Bank_barrier

I am not talking about the Jewish people, as ‘ahlul kitab’ (people of the holly book), they are our brothers, and many of them are ashamed about the Israeli decisions.
What I want to point out is the difference made between the peoples.
Even if the Human Rights Bill says that all Humans are equal, it seems that some of them are ‘more equal than others”, as has said a famous French humorist called Coluche.
Your rights depend on how much oil is contended in your land, on your religion, or on your power on the international scene.
Unfortunately, in Palestine there is no oil, a majority of Muslims, not able to get agree inside their own territories, so how could they be able to have any power in the international decisions?

So the Palestinians are the forgotten people, and nobody cares about them, even within the Muslim world. When I see the very rich Muslims, in general in the Gulf, spending so much money on parties, luxury cars, private planes and so many other stupid purchases, I get sick and I pray The Almighty to give us the strength to be a powerful Umma, respected and able to act.

Ya Allah, inaka ‘ala kulichain kadir

Without HIM we are nothing

Assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullah ua barakatuhu

It’s been a while since I have last posted, but a lot of very good changes occurred in my life and without Him, nothing could have happened.

Al hamdulillah, I made a lot of duaa and kept all my trust in him, I worked a lot and I passed a very difficult exam for me.

I pray that it will be a good thing for me to have a better life and to help me to gain the hereafter.

Without HIM we are nothing.

May He never forget us, accept our duaa, our fast, our life to see His face in the hereafter
